DUNNELLON, FL — The Captains Club, organizers of the upcoming 2026 Carl Spackler Open, announced that the first set of participant options will close on February 2. This initial window, which opened in early December 2025, was designed to secure lodging arrangements and resolve any outstanding balances related to the event.

“This first phase focuses on collecting transportation details, apparel selections, and single-room reservations,” said Captains Club member Chris Price. “These components are essential to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone throughout the event.”

One of the distinguishing characteristics of the Carl Spackler Open is its blend of individual participants alongside small groups of close friends and family. While this diversity adds to the event’s character, it also creates logistical challenges—particularly with double-occupancy hotel rooms. Because many groups include an odd number of participants, organizers have made single-occupancy rooms available to accommodate those needs.

Among the optional add-ons available during this first selection window is a discreet hideaway cooler sleeve designed specifically for golfers. The lightweight, flexible, and durable cooler fits easily into most golf bag side pockets and holds up to six cans. It keeps beverages cold for up to six hours using the included Kanga Frost Bar—requiring no ice and eliminating leaks or mess. The cooler measures 4 inches deep, 8 inches wide, and 15 inches high, making it ideal for golfers looking to keep refreshments chilled while staying under the radar. The cost for the hideaway cooler is $28.

Following the February 2 deadline, the second set of participant options will open just 24 hours later, once the full tournament roster has been finalized.

As anticipation builds for the 2026 Carl Spackler Open, organizers remain focused on detailed planning to ensure a memorable experience for all involved. Enthusiasm continues to grow among golf fans as participants prepare to customize their experience for this highly anticipated tournament.
