VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Kevin Long, Jr. rebounded this past week with much improved rounds at Bid-a-Wee Golf Course and Cypress Point Country Club. The rounds show promise for a golfing career plagued by a large slice.

"I have a new offset driver and the slice is officially gone," said Long. "It is an entirely new game when the ball is in the fairway. This is kinda cool."

Kevin has moved into 11th position in the 2006 Virtual Tournament. Long continues to tackle his fatigue issues on the back nine. Like clockwork, Long's scorecard continues to increase by 10% on the back nine regardless of golf course.

"It is a shame he cannot stay focused physically and mentally," says Jay Glover of Virginia Beach. "He really wants to be a good golfer."

In other news, Greg Long finished a marathon of Virginia state golf this past weekend. His last round at Cypress Point finished 9-over par with a quadruple bogey on Hole 14. "Things look really good," said Greg. "Third place in overall stroke play is almost certain at this year's major championship."

Matt Davis poured in eight zeros on the back nine of Fort Cherry over the weekend. His disappointing 18-over 90 from 5,800 yards proved problematic.

Leader Scott Zavinski posted 57 points over the weekend. He opens up his lead to 7.4 points per round. His golf lessons are paying off day by day.
