CLAYTON, NC — A waiting list was created on Tuesday for the late registrants to the 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship scheduled for June 8 in Raleigh, NC.

Jamie Myers read a statement on behalf of the Captains Club. "Happy New Year! We are very excited to see the wonderful group has decided to resign including our Golden Jacket, Carl Spackler Outfit, and Horses Ass", said Myers. "We will continue to accept and post deposits postmarked prior to December 29."

Myers coughed, "Excuse me. I picked up a cold over the weekend." Myers took a drink of water and continued. "The tournament office will continue to accept deposits for our waiting list. Late deposits by our members must send a check for $349 to be added to the waiting list."

Myers turned to the back of his statement and said, "We have 3 signings by new rookies that still need to join the Carl Spackler Open community online by clicking "join" off the blue navigation bar. We also have two golfers that mailed checks and not registered at all. We fully expect our referrals to help out the tournament office."

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins in 154 days. Online preferences are scheduled to begin in 42 days.
